how do i play the game
All major cities have been over ran, with some small pockets of the living. Towns far away from the masses have remained somewhat unaffected other than encountering a few they could easily shot down.
*media reports* The Media reports of people being pulled off planes and taken away. Some relatives demand to know where they were taken and why, but most are never heard from again. National guard and Military pulling into large cities about the nation. News shots show these large army trucks moving into various large cities. There are stories about military bases locking down for so called Threat Con Alpha maneuvers. There are several strong conspiracies about what is going on. Panic is shown in San Antonio and Austin Texas.
San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas/Fort Worth are encountering strong riots, strange attacks and this bizarre flu infection and are placed under Martial Law. National Guard and Military troupes begin to enclose these cities. FEMA begins to make camps trying to help fleeing people. Within days, riots begin to spread out through every large city in the Nation and Overseas to other countries.

Odd reports of strange attacks of bites from infected people spring up around East Texas, spreading along the south, heading both East and West. What many have not yet realized is that something has happened, and no one at least no one is admitting knows what is going on. What has happened is that this 'something' has stirred the dead to a flesh eating creature known among the horror flicks as ZOMBIES!!
Where are you? What will you do? Do you have what it takes to survive?
Make a character, pick a place to start, and find out.
So you have decided where your character will start out in this world area, this is where your character will face his challenges with others (or alone) in the world area you chose. Your character will have to find his way about, find others if you chose to. However, in order for your character to interact with others outside of this chosen area he will need to do so with a method, like traveling, radio, and so forth.
Each section of the forums, chat rooms, and PC journals are broken up into areas about the world. So chose wisely where you would like to start. The best method is to find a group to play with, like your friends or find a group to play with through the forums.
You have two options of play, unmoderated play, which is where you gain no experience, you free form your play, update your sheet (if you chose to have one) yourself as you see fit. However, some players like semi-moderated play, meaning a realistic role play, working out ways to gain food, weapons, resources, and other items. There is no moderated play, unless a player wishes to run something specifically. It will be up to the player to set up his game and list what he will allow. This game is about surviving the unimaginable through imagination and creativity. This is pure science fiction, though Zombie genre has grown into several amazing groups, bent on survival techniques. Some of these places will be listed as resources to help give you ideas for your game and play.
Character sheets are optional, some players like them. Another Day uses modern d20, you can access it through the link at Path of Adventures’ Universal Character Database. You can enter, update, and view the sheets anytime you need. As a standard of play for those wanting a more moderated play, XP is 500xp per month of creating account. This is the easiest way to offer it to players, of course, you can run with anything you wish or your group wishes to run with.
You can role play in your journal (play by journal), in the forums (play by post), or in the chat (play by chat). It is up to you how you want to play. It is about having fun, enjoying the experience, and when playing with others respecting their fun and enjoyment. Please remember, you do not have to play with anyone and they do not have to play with you. There will be a multitude of games ran by players throughout the different world areas.
Now some certain globe events will be presented by the Admin, you can either react to it or simply ignore it. It is there as an added feature to help unify the different games. There will be various moderators to help out in the various world areas, as I am not familiar with them all. They will be add as I come across those individuals. If you have questions, please feel free to ask.
